Tucson Sailing Club Spring Cruise
For all of you who are interested in the TSC cruises, whether you are planning to go in May or just want more information, the Tucson Sailing Club will be having a get together on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 6 pm at 2315 E. 2nd St in Tucson. We will have information on getting your boat and crew ready, anchoring in the various anchorages, safety protocols, etc. Experienced Sea of Cortez cruisers will be on hand to answer any questions. The Tucson Sailing Club normally has two cruises each year. The cruises go to various locations in the Sea of Cortez for varying lengths of time. Generally, the cruises are in May and November after the Tucson Sailing Club regattas.
For 2022 we are changing up the cruises a bit. The May cruise will be before the regatta, beginning May 15. The cruise will be up the coast from San Carlos with stops in, possibly, Bahía San Pedro, Pozo Moreno/Las Cocinas, Caleta Himalaya, and Ensenada Julio Villa. On the agenda for the cruise, in addition to sailing, is fishing, swimming, snorkeling, dinghy rowing/sailing, hikes on shore, and, of course, happy hour.
If you would like to cruise, but don’t have a lot of time, this cruise is close to San Carlos, so you can join in at any time. We monitor channel 74 while up the coast, so you can find out where the cruising fleet is when you are ready to join in the fun.
